Our client is looking to Empowering Kids with Confidence is hiring full time psychologists . Responsibilities will include working directly with patients to understand their needs and overseeing treatment options to ensure they receive proper care. Will work directly with adolescents and teens to help them overcome issues with social and emotional learning, address mental disorders and provide the medical care needed. Will assess, diagnose, and treat children who may have a slight or severe mental,emotional, or social disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and/or tests for diagnostic purposes
  • Develop an individualized treatment plan for each child
  • Educate family members on what they can do for their child or how to respond to certain behaviors
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Provide crisis intervention and referrals to community resources
  • Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments according to in-house policies
  •  Coordinate with other child health experts, like child protection workers, pediatricians and social workers, to facilitate and ensure the patients’ psychological development
  • Organize educations programs to inform adolescents or teenagers about the repercussions of high-risk behaviors and ways to adjust to them
  • Address issues such as depression, bullying, various mental health issues and learning difficulties in children by providing appropriate psychological intervention
  • Reviews electronic case records and documentation for completeness, consistency, and quality of mental health services provided including application of proper techniques and appropriateness of therapeutic modalities

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a graduate degree in psychology, and finally a Ph.D. or Psy.D in clinical or child psychology
  •  A valid state license to practice psychology
  • Proven work experience as a Child Psychologist or similar role
  • Must be approachable and empathic
  • Knowledge of different therapeutic methods and the ability to switch between different approaches to meet each child’s needs
  •  Several years’ practical experience working with children in a clinical setting is strongly desired
  • Excellent communications skills, specifically the ability to communicate with children of different ages and from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and assessment skills
  • Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal regulations as determined by relevant regulatory bodies and the law
  • Willingness to attend team meetings, as well as seminars on topics relevant to our client base
  •  Commitment to providing quality patient care
