DirectShifts is actively seeking a Pain Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician in Dover & Wilmington, Delaware to join our community.
Responsibilities:
- Medical Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with chronic pain or disabilities, utilizing medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests to determine the underlying causes of their conditions
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans that may include a combination of medications, physical therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and interventional procedures to alleviate pain and improve function
- Pain Management: Administer pain-relieving medications, injections, and other interventions, such as nerve blocks or epidurals, to provide relief to patients with chronic pain conditions
- Rehabilitation: Oversee and guide patients through physical therapy and rehabilitation programs, coordinating with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to optimize recovery and functionality
- Education: Educate patients on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to empower them in managing their conditions effectively
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other specialists, including orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, and psychologists, to offer comprehensive care for patients with complex pain and rehabilitation needs
- Licensing and Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including medical licensing and DEA registration, in addition to following ethical standards and patient confidentiality guidelines
Requirements:
- An actively licensed Physician(MD/DO) in the state of DE
- BC in PM&R. Certified by American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) is highly preferable
- Active DEA
- Minim 1 year of experience
