Job Description:

As an Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in administering specialized medical care to patients in a dynamic healthcare setting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Administering blood transfusions and infusions with precision and adherence to medical protocols.
• Monitoring patients' vital signs to ensure early detection of any changes in their condition.
• Diagnosing the causes of sudden changes in patient condition and providing urgent treatments as required.
• Executing treatment plans by administering medications and ensuring patients' comfort and safety.
• Assessing and, when necessary, performing diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (EKGs) and radiographs (X-rays).
• Delivering emergency medical care, including cardiac life support, when patients are in crisis.
• Updating and maintaining accurate health records to facilitate seamless patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with Physicians and other members of the care team to revise treatment plans based on patient responses and changing conditions.

Requirements:

• To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Ability to float to ICU, and some flexibility to float to Medical/Surgical units when required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Acute Care setting.
• Active RN license in the State of Illinois, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPI is REQUIRED**
• Valid state certification as a registered nurse.
