35k annual volume.
14 hours of double physician coverage per day.
16 hours of mid level coverage per day.
Backup except Neuro (gets shipped)

Every year, Golden Heart Emergency Physicians cares for approximately 35,000 patients at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. Our board certified physicians, registered nurses and support staff have received specialized training in critical care and are equipped with the latest life-saving technology to treat patients experiencing medical emergencies, anytime of the day or night.
Emergency Services at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital include:
25 beds
2 Major resuscitation rooms
4 procedure rooms
Board Certified Emergency Department Physicians
Access to specialty physicians including pediatricians, orthopedic surgeons, ENT surgeons, Ophthalmologists, General Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, Urologists.
Access to hospitalists and OB specialists
Imaging Services including 64-slice CT scans
On-site lab services
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
