About the Role:
As a Cardiovascular RN at a DirectShifts facility in NYC, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of heart and vascular conditions. You will work collaboratively with cardiologists, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' cardiovascular health, monitor vital signs, and interpret test results.
- Administer medications, provide advanced cardiac care interventions, and assist with procedures like cardiac catheterization.
- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and recovery process.
- Provide emotional support and ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients undergoing cardiovascular interventions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and cardiovascular care protocols.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted New York State RN License.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular nursing (preferred).
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) mandatory.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
