Department: CVCST - CVOR - SURGERY/OR (701)

Weeks: 13

Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

  • We are looking for a devoted and skilled Contract Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist (CVCST) to work as a backfill in our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) - Surgery department. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields with surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to anticipate and fulfill their needs during procedures.
  • Pass surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons with precision.
  • Monitor and document surgical counts to maintain patient safety.
  • Assist in transporting patients to and from the operating room.
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety measures.
  • Contribute to a smooth workflow in the Cardiovascular OR.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and surgical best practices.
  • Maintain a commitment to patient care and safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist (CVCST) certification is required.
  • Previous experience in a cardiovascular surgical setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instruments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure surgical environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and dedication to patient safety.
