Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner | Remote | United States
Responsibilities
You will function as a Child & Adolescent PMHNP in diagnosing, managing and treating our patients. You will treat conditions appropriate for outpatient treatment that don’t require significant ancillary/social support such as ADHD, depression, and anxiety.
You will have full time assistance to handle administrative and clinical tasks (prior authorizations, scheduling, obtaining outside records, etc.). The role will be performed over telehealth
Knowledge / Skills
PMHNP-BC Core Competencies
- PMHNP-BC degree with >150 hours of pediatric clinical training hours (out of 500 hours max). Must be board certified
- Minimum of 1 year post grad at clinical sites with majority of pediatric mental health caseload. Or 3 three years post PMHNP program with 30% of patient volume pediatric mental health
- Experience leading pediatric mental health clinical services. Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams in an outpatient clinic setting; expertise in clinical implementation of telehealth necessary
- Experience in telehealth services. Experience in providing telehealth services to children and adolescents and familiarity with applicable regulations for their state
- Adaptable. Comfort with scalable approaches to care delivery and innovation using telehealth
- Provide exceptional care: support children and teens ages 5 to 17 years
- Should enjoy practicing independently
- Comfortable using an EMR
- Compassionate, caring provider who is non-judgemental toward patients with psychiatric needs
- Comfortable with medication management of psychiatric conditions
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem-resolution skills
Qualifications:
- Current RN and APRN licenses in respective state
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
- Active DEA registration
- Strong ADHD and ADD diagnosis and treatment experience
Education Requirements:
- Masters degree in Nursing

Preferences
- At least 1 year of outpatient experience
- Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Board Certification
