Collaborating Physician – Texas (Remote | ADHD Support | Immediate Start)
About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking a Texas-licensed Board-Certified Psychiatrist (preferred) or experienced Family Medicine Physician to serve as a Collaborating Physician for a Nurse Practitioner managing ADHD treatment across an independent practice and an adoption clinic setting.
This is a remote, low-time-commitment collaboration focused on prescriptive support for ADHD stimulant management and regulatory compliance in Texas. The physician is needed to start as soon as possible.
Practice Overview
The Nurse Practitioner:
- Operates an independent clinical practice
- Works within an adoption clinic setting
- Manages approximately 3 teenage ADHD patients
- Prescribes:
- ADHD stimulant medications (requiring physician collaboration for prescribing support)
- Benzodiazepines (as part of clinical scope where applicable)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prescriptive collaboration support for ADHD stimulant medications
- Sign or authorize prescriptions approximately once per month as needed
- Ensure compliance with Texas state collaboration requirements
- Be available for remote communication if clarification is required
- No onsite responsibilities required
- No routine chart reviews or ongoing case management required
Physician Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (required)
- Board-Certified Psychiatrist preferred, open to experienced Family Medicine physicians
- Comfortable supporting ADHD treatment and stimulant prescribing protocols
- Prior NP collaboration experience preferred
- Responsive and reliable for periodic prescription authorization
