Critical Care Nurse Practitioner | OH
Join our dynamic healthcare team in the heart of Ohio as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner. In this vital role, you will provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Your expertise will contribute to assessing, diagnosing, and managing complex medical conditions, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses and treats undiagnosed patients for various diseases and conditions within NP scope.
- Writes treatment and medication orders; provides emergency care.
- Monitors ongoing care, orders appropriate diagnostic tests; and interprets results to plan treatment.
- Establishes priorities for health management; provides follow-up treatment.
- Communicates health findings, diagnoses, outcomes, and prognoses to patients and families.
- Support and counsel patients on managing their conditions.
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare providers to assess and diagnose patient status.
- Develops and implements treatment plans; may admit and discharge patients per policy.
- Prescribes medications within regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Active NP license in the state of Ohio
- 1 to 2 years of Critical Care experience (preferred)
- Active DEA
