Responsibilities:

• Assess the immediate and continuing care needs of the patient/significant other.
• Develop comprehensive plans of care encompassing physical, patient teaching, discharge planning, and psychosocial/spiritual needs.
• Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and medical regimen, overseeing all aspects of care provided by other nursing personnel.
• Observe, evaluate, and document patient responses to illness and/or therapeutic modalities, ensuring timely reassessment of patient conditions.
• Coordinate overall plan of care, establishing priorities in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and integrating age-specific care needs.
• Accept responsibility and accountability for nursing interventions and outcomes, based on professional clinical judgments.
• Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) activities related to patient care delivery and nursing/hospital standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication, stress management, and interpersonal skills with other disciplines.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) prepared.
• 2-3 years of experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center.
• TNCC, BLS, ACLS, PALS, AHA Stroke certification.
• Competency in vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, medication titration.
• Good interpersonal skills.
