- The Endoscopy Tech performs various direct patient care activities in the endoscopy unit under the supervision of the Physician and Registered Nurse
- He/she will prepare procedure room for endoscopy procedures
- He/she will assist the Physician and RN with Pre, Intra and post endoscopic patient care to provide physical and environmental support
- He/she will also be responsible for cleaning and disinfect endoscopes and other equipment according to policy and procedures
- The Tech must have the ability to and order supplies from central and outside vendors
- Transport patients, prepare stretchers, take vital signs if indicated
- Tranposrt specimens to appropriate departments
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CER preferred
- CRCST certiification required
- Ability to assists in transporting patients. Able to lift and push beds, stretchers
- Knowledge of state and JCAHO standards required
- 30 lb weight lift requirement
