Department: Postpartum (660)

Weeks: 13

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

  • We are looking for a devoted and skilled Contract Registered Nurse (RN) to work as a backfill in our Postpartum Unit. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
  • Assess the health status of postpartum patients and newborns.
  • Administer medications, perform assessments, and assist with postpartum recovery.
  • Educate new mothers on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum self-care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the well-being of patients.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
  • Assist with newborn care, including vital sign monitoring and feeding.
  • Support and provide emotional guidance to new mothers.
  • Respond effectively to any medical emergencies or complications.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and standards for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in TEXAS.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of postpartum care and recovery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
