Job Description:
- Our healthcare team in Miami, FL, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the Intermediate Care Unit.
- As an integral part of our team, the PCU RN will play a vital role in providing specialized care to patients with complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient's conditions, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of experience as an RN, with a focus on progressive care or intermediate care nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) or related specialty.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac care.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
