Job Description:
Department: Med Surg/Tele EP Float (740)
Weeks: 13
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- We are looking for a devoted and skilled Contract Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Med Surg/Tele and Electrophysiology (EP) Float departments.
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and implement care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and cardiac telemetry.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
- Respond effectively to emergent situations and changes in patient status.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, standards of care, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in TEXAS.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to adapt to various clinical settings.
