Our client is a modern women's health startup that is re-envisioning care of undertreated and poorly understood women's diseases. We are starting with an innovative approach to hyperemesis gravidarum, focusing on early treatment to reduce downstream bad outcomes for mom and baby.We looking for a physician leader who will support patients through the ups and downs of an HG pregnancy, who will work closely with OB practices and other medical teams, and who will encourage innovation and new ideas from the medical team. We value big ideas, openness, humor, and empathy, while focusing on evidence-based treatments that are best for patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide office-based care of patients suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum and severemorning sickness, through infusion therapy in the office and medication management at home
  • Collaborating with nursing staff, who will be your eyes and ears while caring for these often complex patients
  •  Teaching local physicians and keeping them up-to-date on current research on HG and treatment pathways Availability to answer medical questions occasionally in the evening and on weekends, but no overnight or weekend call

  • You will be supported by physicians who work in similar practices in New Jersey and Alabama

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Active NY/NJ medical license with at least 5 years experience in women's health
  • Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, or family medicine
  • Comfort recognizing and treating obstetrical problems that may arise in HG patients
  • Growth and innovation mindset
  • Empathy for patients experiencing the profound impact of HG - mentally, physically, socially
  • Friendly and able to collaborate with local OBs, midwives, and other pregnancy healthcare providers
