Adventist Health Ukiah (AHUV) is a breathtaking territory in Northern California that has an underserved GI population of over 60,000 lives. AHUV is seeking a clinical BC/BE Gastroenterologist with advanced endoscopy skills who is wanting to become an integral part of our dedicated healthcare team. Candidates will have the opportunity to lead in the development of an elite and up to date Gastroenterology service line by widening the scope of our gastrointestinal services. Call is flexible and shared. Experienced physicians as well as newly trained providers will be considered. Procedure days and clinic days rotate on a weekly basis. All candidates should have an interest in orchestrating this growth, through clinical expertise, expanding tertiary endoscopic availability, planning, and creating a freestanding outpatient endoscopy center.
The ability to speak Spanish is helpful, but not required. This represents an outstanding opportunity to live and work in one of California's most beautiful small towns, just a couple hours north of San Francisco.

Ukiah's strong sense of community is clearly present in its numerous town celebrations, festivals and events, including the Ukiah Country PumpkinFest, which celebrates Ukiah's rich agricultural tradition each October. All sorts of recreational opportunities can be found at Lake Mendocino, just five miles from Ukiah, with over 100 family picnic sites, boat launching ramps, fishing, a swimming beach, hiking trails and much more. For entertainment, Ukiah boasts a number of theatrical companies. The Grace Hudson Museum makes for another entertaining diversion, featuring exhibitions of the works of artist Grace Hudson as well as local, regional and Californian Indian artists. Ukiah is located about two hours north of San Francisco and one hour from the Pacific Coast and redwood forests.
