Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative evaluations of patients to assess their medical history, current health status, and anesthesia requirements.
- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring optimal comfort and safety throughout the surgical procedure.
- Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, as appropriate for different surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during surgery, adjusting anesthesia dosage and techniques as needed to maintain stability and ensure patient safety.
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and provide appropriate pain management to patients following surgery.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth workflow in the operating room.
- Stay updated on advances in anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment, and participate in continuing education activities to maintain licensure and certification.
- Adhere to all relevant safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory guidelines to uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Current New Jersey medical license and DEA registration.
- Strong clinical skills and expertise in administering various types of anesthesia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound clinical judgments in a fast-paced environment.
