Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team. The Physician Assistant will work closely with our team of urologists to provide exceptional medical care to patients with urological conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, helping to improve the health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to evaluate urological conditions.
  • Assist urologists in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological disorders, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate disorders, and urinary incontinence.
  • Perform procedures such as catheterizations, cystoscopies, and bladder scans under the supervision of urologists, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with urologists, incorporating medication management, lifestyle modifications, and surgical interventions as appropriate.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on urological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote optimal health and well-being.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making adjustments to care plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in urology research, treatments, and guidelines through continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant in New Jersey.
  • Previous experience in urology or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of urological conditions, treatments, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced clinical setting.
