Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough nursing assessments of laboring mothers and newborns.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in labor and delivery.
- Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and staff regarding prenatal and postnatal care.
- Participate in discharge planning for mother-baby dyads.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement in care delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least one year of acute care RN experience in labor and delivery.
- Certification in neonatal resuscitation.
- Valid NYS RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
