Job Description:

  • Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing
  • Take dental x-rays and intra-oral photos
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
  • Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs
  • Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
  • Apply fluoride and Arestin

Qualifications:

  • A valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist, issued by the New York State Department of Education
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
  • Prior hands-on Hygiene experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate patient records
