Job Description:
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing
- Take dental x-rays and intra-oral photos
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
- Apply fluoride and Arestin
Qualifications:
- A valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist, issued by the New York State Department of Education
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Prior hands-on Hygiene experience is highly preferred
- Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate patient records
