Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Location: Glen Allen, Virginia
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Virginia regulations.
- Provide preventive care, wellness exams, immunizations, and health screenings.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and treatment plans.
- Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, and hyperlipidemia.
- Perform routine office procedures within scope of practice.
- Refer patients to specialists and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- DEA preferred
- Family Practice experience required min.2 years
- Must be comfortable seeing ages 2+
Start Date: 09/21/2026
End Date: 12/31/2026
If more than 50 miles away lodging + mileage can be reimbursed.
Schedule:
- Mon/Wed/Thur/Fri: 8am-5pm
- Tues: 9am-7pm
- Lunch 12p-1p
