Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality radiologic exams with a focus on venous structures (e.g., upper/lower extremity venograms, fluoroscopic guidance for vascular access, etc.).
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures following established protocols.
- Operate fluoroscopy and X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist physicians during vein-related procedures, such as:
- Venous ablation
- Sclerotherapy
- Venography
- Vascular access procedures
- Maintain proper use of contrast media and adhere to all safety protocols regarding radiation and infection control.
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter imaging data into the PACS and EMR systems.
- Collaborate with vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, and vein clinic staff.
- Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions or complications
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certification:
- ARRT (R) certification required.
- State radiologic technologist license (if required by the state).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
