Hiring for Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care based on comprehensive patient assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects.
• Develop and update patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any significant changes to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, post-operative care, and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, post-discharge care, and medication regimens.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Adhere to infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing).
• License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of South Carolina or compact state; BLS required; ACLS preferred or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Experience: One year of acute care or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.
