Essential Functions:

• Provides patient care for Respiratory therapy needs, consulting with medical staff and executing medical orders accurately and timely, following standards and protocols
• Setups and operates RT therapy devices to ensure parameters of treatment
• Administers medicinal gases and medications within an acceptable error rate
• Evaluates outcomes and interventions and implement necessary changes to improve care
• Observes equipment functions and makes adjustments to obtain optimum results in therapy
• Communicates patient care information to the appropriate patient care team in an accurate and timely manner

Required Education

• 2-year associate’s degree (preferred)

Required Experience  

• 1 year of relevant RT experience (preferred)

Required Licensure /Certifications

• Licensed Respiratory Care practitioner in the state where the hospital is located
• BLS
• ACLS upon hire or within 90 days of start date

Physical Demands 

• MEDIUM WORK: Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or 10 lbs. constantly.
