Job Description:
We are seeking an American-trained, board-certified physician with extensive experience in transvaginal mesh cases to serve as a medical expert witness. This is a per diem, virtual position with potential travel required for depositions or trials. The expert will be responsible for reviewing medical records and providing expert opinions on whether the standard of care was met in transvaginal mesh-related cases, which are part of ongoing mass tort litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and review detailed patient records to determine if the standard of care was upheld.
- Provide clear and well-supported opinions on the medical aspects of transvaginal mesh procedures.
- Assist in litigation by preparing expert reports and potentially testifying at depositions or trials.
- Be available to testify in court or via deposition if needed.
Qualification:
- Any State Licensed
- American-trained and board-certified physician (relevant specialties may include gynecology, urology, or related fields).
- Extensive clinical experience in transvaginal mesh procedures.
- Experience with medical-legal reviews, depositions, and court testimony in prior mass tort or individual litigation cases preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to provide clear, concise medical opinions.
Additional Details:
- Virtual work: travel for deposition or trial testimony may be required.
- Flexible volume of work, depending on case assignments.
