Administrative Nurse Coordinator – Brooklyn, NY

Brookdale Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced Administrative Nursing Coordinator (RN) to oversee hospital-wide nursing operations during evening and night shifts. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting nursing staff across multiple units.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee nursing operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff.
- Manage staffing needs and coordinate coverage for current and upcoming shifts.
- Conduct patient care rounds to monitor quality, safety, and adherence to standards.
- Respond to hospital codes and emergencies while ensuring appropriate resource allocation.
- Investigate patient and staff incidents, complaints, and safety concerns, and communicate findings to nursing leadership.
- Promote teamwork, staff development, and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Collaborate with Directors, Nurse Managers, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Active New York State RN License.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in an acute care hospital.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Specialty nursing certification required.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives, Root Cause Analysis, and performance metrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Demonstrated leadership in hospital nursing operations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
