Physician Assistant (PA) – Multi-Specialty
Facility : Brookdale Hospital Medical Center | Brooklyn, NY
Schedule : Per Diem
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient care across multiple specialties.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical studies.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and perform procedures within the PA scope of practice.
Accurately document patient encounters using the Epic EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active New York State Physician Assistant License.
NCCPA Certification.
Current BLS Certification (ACLS preferred).
DEA Registration (if applicable).
1–2 years of hospital or specialty PA experience preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
