Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for direct and indirect care given to assigned participants in compliance with state regulations, professional standards of practice, physician orders, and individual health plans.
- Verifies participant information by interviewing participant; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
- Prepares participants for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting participant history summary.
- Notifies physician of participant's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments and significant incidents.
Requirements:
- AAS or AS in Medical Assisting preferred.
- Experience working with persons with psychiatric disorders preferred.
- CMA (AAMA) certification required.
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
