In this role, you will play a vital role in patient care by utilizing advanced imaging equipment to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. You will perform exams using pulsed radio-frequency waves, magnetic energy, and sophisticated computer processing to generate high-quality images for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging procedures using MRI, CT, X-ray, or Ultrasound equipment according to specific protocols.
  • Safely transport patients and maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient interactions.
  • Administer contrast media when necessary and monitor for reactions.
  • Perform basic patient care tasks such as vital signs and assist with emergencies if needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating assigned imaging modality, including calibration and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure proper exam descriptions, manage error messages, and perform PACS checks to ensure image quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a registered technologist in MRI, CT, X-ray, or Ultrasound(depending on the position).
  • For specialized imaging: Valid NYSDOH license and current ARRT certification in the respective modality.
  • NYDOH License required.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field (preferred).
  • ARRT Certification in the appropriate modality (preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.
