Position Overview
Join a patient-focused dental practice committed to delivering exceptional oral healthcare. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and the clinical team to provide outstanding patient care while supporting efficient day-to-day dental office operations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment and instruments are ready for patient care.
- Welcome, seat, and prepare patients for dental procedures while ensuring their comfort.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Sterilize, organize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations.
- Mix and prepare dental materials for restorative procedures.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and polish removable dental appliances, as appropriate.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-treatment care.
- Accurately document patient treatment and clinical notes in electronic health records.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ensuring the clinic remains clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Support emergency preparedness by maintaining CPR certification and emergency equipment.
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program OR at least six (6) months of hands-on Dental Assistant experience.
- Current 6-hour X-ray Certification.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nitrous Oxide Certification.
- Coronal Polishing Certification.
- Previous experience in a general or multi-specialty dental practice.
