Duration: 4 months contract
Hours: 40 hours/week with no overtime
Job Responsibilities:
- Fill and label medication bags based on physician orders and system-generated labels
- Initiate and deliver medications (including IV infusions) to various departments
- Accurately stock both controlled and non-controlled substances in Omnicell dispensing units
- Assist pharmacists by compounding IV piggybacks, large-volume solutions, and irrigations
- Handle customer (patient/caregiver) inquiries in-person or by phone; refer clinical questions to pharmacists
- Maintain pharmacy inventory—checking stock, ordering, stocking, rotating medications
- Record and file prescriptions and physician orders to maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- Must have extensive experience with stocking Automated Dispensing Cabinets, preferably Omnicell
- Must have experience with central pharmacy inventory automation systems, preferably Omnicell carousels
- Must have basic familiarity with medication storage compliance requirements, including for cold storage and controlled substances
