Hiring Telemedicine Physician In DC & VT
Job Description:
DirectShifts is seeking Physicians licensed in the District of Columbia & Vermont to join our telemedicine network providing high-quality virtual mental health care. This role involves evaluating patients via video visits, prescribing treatment plans, and supporting ongoing care for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and related disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual appointments via video conferencing
- Develop treatment plans for ADHD and other mental health conditions
- Prescribe and manage medications while educating patients
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Document all visits in electronic health records
- Collaborate with peers to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with telemedicine regulations and HIPAA
Requirements:
- MD or DO, Board Certified (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Psychiatry)
- Active, unrestricted District of Columbia medical license + DEA license
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health care or 5 years in primary care
- Familiarity with DSM-5, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and similar tools
- Prior telehealth experience preferred
- Strong communication, adaptability, and patient-centered approach
