Job Description:
- Join our team as a Telemetry Nurse in the Orthopedic department located in Atlantis, Florida.
- As a Telemetry Nurse in the Orthopedic Department, you will play a vital role in monitoring and providing specialized care for orthopedic patients.
- This position requires a dedicated individual with strong telemetry skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data for orthopedic patients.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, focusing on the well-being and comfort of orthopedic patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions and responses to treatments.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting observations, interventions, and outcomes.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues regarding care plans and progress.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Telemetry certification or demonstrated proficiency in telemetry monitoring.
- Experience in a telemetry setting, with a preference for orthopedic or related specialties.
Skills:
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
