Job Description:

Department: CST - OR/SURGERY (701)

Weeks: 13

Shift: 2.30 PM - 11 PM

  • We are currently seeking a dedicated Contract Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room (OR) within the Surgery Department (701).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure the operating room is set up according to safety and infection control standards.
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical staff during procedures.
  • Pass surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons during surgeries.
  • Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
  • Monitor and document surgical counts of instruments and supplies.
  • Prepare and transport patients to and from the operating room.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols for patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required.
  • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
