Job Description:
Department: MEDSURG 6S (627)
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- We are looking for a devoted and skilled Contract Registered Nurse (RN) to work as a backfill in our Medical Surgical Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Unit.
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and implement care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Respond effectively to emergent situations and changes in patient status.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards of care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in TEXAS.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification a plus.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
