Mammography Technologist | Inglewood, CA
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. This role requires strong expertise in breast imaging, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to perform high-quality mammography procedures in accordance with national standards. The ideal candidate will be proficient in digital mammography and tomosynthesis, ensuring accurate imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with precision and care.
- Operate digital mammography and tomosynthesis imaging equipment.
- Ensure proper patient positioning to obtain optimal diagnostic image quality.
- Maintain patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout all procedures.
- Review images for quality assurance and compliance with clinical standards.
- Follow MQSA regulations and radiation safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams for accurate interpretation and reporting.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- ARRT (R) certification with additional mammography certification (ARRT (M)) required.
- State licensure required where applicable.
- Must meet MQSA compliance standards, including:
- 40 hours of initial mammography training
- At least 200 mammograms performed in the last 24 months
- 15 continuing education (CE) credits within 36 months
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of mammography experience, including digital mammography and tomosynthesis.
