Mammography Technologist | San Bernadino, CA
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in San Bernadino, CA. This role requires expertise in breast imaging, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing high-quality mammography exams, including digital mammography and tomosynthesis, while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with accuracy and care.
- Operate digital mammography and tomosynthesis imaging equipment.
- Ensure proper patient positioning to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain patient safety, privacy, and comfort during all procedures.
- Review images for quality and ensure compliance with imaging standards.
- Follow MQSA guidelines and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams for accurate diagnosis and reporting.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT (R)(M) certification with additional Mammography certification required.
- State license required.
- Must meet MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) requirements, including:
- 40 hours of initial mammography training
- At least 200 mammograms performed in the last 24 months
- Completion of 15 continuing education credits every 36 months
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of mammography experience, including digital mammography and tomosynthesis.
