Position Overview

Arora Health is seeking a licensed physician in Utah to serve as Medical Director for partner medspa locations within the state. This position involves clinical oversight, protocol approval, and supervisory review of medical services provided by Nurse Practitioners and Physician Associates.

The Medical Director ensures compliance with Utah Medical Board regulations and supports safe, high-quality patient care for weight-loss, aesthetic, and peptide-based therapies.

This role is primarily remote and supported by Arora’s centralized telehealth and compliance infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical oversight and supervision for aesthetic and wellness services performed by advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs) under Missouri law.
  • Review and approve treatment protocols, informed consents, and clinical procedures for partner medspa locations.
  • Conduct chart review and sign-off on Good Faith Exams (GFEs) and prescriptions within the required timeframe.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, telehealth standards, and delegation requirements.
  • Offer clinical guidance and serve as an escalation point for complex cases or adverse events.
  • Collaborate with Arora’s compliance and legal teams to maintain updated state documentation (delegation agreements, collaborative protocols, etc.).
  • Support training and onboarding of new providers and clinics as needed.
  • (Optional) Participate in the development and review of peptide and hormone therapy protocols across the Arora network.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with active Utah medical license and good standing.
  • 3+ years of experience in aesthetic medicine, weight management, or wellness practice.
  • Working knowledge of peptide therapy, GLP-1 medications, and other prescriptive wellness programs.
  • Experience supervising or collaborating with Nurse Practitioners or Physician Associates.
  • Understanding of telehealth compliance, clinical delegation, and patient documentation standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; responsive to remote teams.
  • Must reside in UT

Compensation

  • Monthly stipend (reflective of state scope and clinic volume).
  • Per-chart or per-review compensation for GFEs and prescription reviews.
  • Additional compensation available for expansion oversight, protocol development, or training participation.
