Medical Director/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Summary/objective
The primary responsibility of the Medical Director/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is to oversee other prescribers and clinical staff, also perform diagnostics interviews, and evaluate patients referred for mental problems such as situational disorders, neuroses, major mental illnesses, and psychoses. This post-holder will also provide a diagnosis and recommendation for inpatient or outpatient treatment. This position requires a great deal of organizational, documentation, and relational skills to ensure a good working relationship with clients and accurately document treatment encounters and treatments.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure the delivery of client-centered services to all clients.
Deliver excellent client service to RMBHS' stakeholders.
Ensure continuous improvement of the RMBHS’s behavioral health treatment processes and operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for all clinical services and shall, on a routine basis, and as clinically required, provide on-site consultation at the Parkville clinic to ensure adequate clinical and administrative oversight.
Provide the company with psychiatric/behavioral health medical services and Tele psych for a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week.
Establish and maintain appropriate and reasonable standards for treatment, including therapeutic modalities and prescribing practices.
Manage psychiatric aspects of quality management and review diagnostic formulation.
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
Provide clinical supervision for all clinical staff.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to plan or provide treatment.
Coordinate treatment meetings and meet with Company Administrator and Program Managers.
Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable.
Medical Director/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will ensure their malpractice insurance is in good standing.
Perform services in accordance with this contract on-site at 8911 Clement Avenue, Ste A, Parkville, MD 21234
The document, in a timely manner, all clinical interventions provided to the client as required by the COMAR regulation and the Company.
Foster a staff culture that supports the RMBHS values and codes of conduct.
Provide assistance and information to RMBHS management as requested.
Compliance with all administrative and clinical policies and procedures including HIPPA.
Participation in all scheduled staff meetings and quarterly briefs with the CEO
Other duties as assigned.

Performance Metrics for the Role - Successful completion of probation and ongoing satisfactory performance in the role include the following:
Ensuring 100% compliance with all COMAR-mandated deadlines on OMHC program documentation.
Ensuring accuracy & completion of all client charts to meet mandated COMAR guidelines.
Attending all scheduled Administrative and Supervisory meetings.
Attending all scheduled quarterly meetings with the Founder/Program Director.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervisory Oversight for all prescribers and clinical staff.
Work Environment
This job operates in office and community settings including consumers' homes. This role also requires routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This role is located at the Renewing Me Solutions & Behavioral Health corporate office in Baltimore.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and some weekend work as necessary from time to time.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day and this role may require transporting clients in their own transportation.
Required Education and Experience
Education: A qualified Doctor/Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in psychiatry.
Special Requirement: Must be a board-certified psychiatrist/Nurse Practitioner.
Experience: Experience working with underserved, transient populations and clinical co‐morbidities (co‐occurring mental health, substance abuse, and physical health problems).
