Job Description:
- Currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit located in Sebring, Florida
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit with a focus on telemetry services during night shifts.
- Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, identify changes, and collaborate with the healthcare team for appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting observations, interventions, and outcomes.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and facilitating necessary interventions.
Basic Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
Skills:
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
