Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal

Coordinating the planning, implementation and on- going monitoring and evaluation of patients admitted to St. Francis Hospital under the assigned service under the immediate supervision of a licensed physician. Responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to support and improve the quality of care provided to assigned patients across the continuum of care. Work to ensure an efficient and cost-effective course of hospitalization and length of stay for a select group of patients. Matches human and material resources to patient/client needs. Coordinate care through communication and collaboration with patients, families, interdisciplinary team members and outside agencies. Serve as a resource and educator for other professionals, clerical staff, students and community. Minimum Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred, or completion of an accredited post-secondary Physician Assistant (PA) program. Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN). One (1) year of experience in at least one critical care environment either through employment or during clinical rotations required as part of a Masters level Nurse Practitioner Program. License/Certification(s): Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Georgia. Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
