Night Pharmacist | Inpatient | 13 Weeks Contract | New York
What we need: We are currently seeking a licensed Pharmacist to fill a Night Pharmacist position for a 13-week contract. The position will be based in an inpatient hospital facility in New York. The Night Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive safe and effective medication therapy during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and verifying medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Monitoring patient drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, and side effects
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Providing drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate records of medication dispensing and patient information
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of New York
- Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication therapy and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends
- Availability to work a minimum of 38 hours per week
