We are seeking NPs with Hem/Onc experience to join our clients team for an ongoing locums assignment. We are flexible with he amount of shifts you're willing to commit per month.

Job Duties:
- Comprehensively assess disease activity and extent of physical disability.
- Assess psychosocial function and assistance.
- Assist in management of any deteriorating patients on the Hematology/Oncology floor.
- Assist with any procedures such as lumbar punctures
- Provide electronic report at the end of the shift.
- Work with the residents in order to optimize appropriate testing and consultation while avoiding unnecessary tests and/or consults.
- Assist in the facilitation of pre-determined early discharges prior to the end of the shift.
- Assist in ordering and modification of chemotherapy power plans.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with children, parents, extended families, nursing staff, and other allied health professionals.
- Flexibility in prioritizing and taking care of problems and emergencies as they arise.
- Review laboratory results and provide feedback in a timely manner.
- Maintain and ensure that relevant patient records are properly updated and accurate.
- Supervises team members as appropriate.
- Adhere to Division and hospital clinical care guidelines and protocols as appropriate.
- Maintain a positive and consistent interaction with the nursing staff, consulting physicians and parents.
- Maintain positive patient satisfaction scores.
- Submit bills for professional services on the day that these are rendered.

General Schedule:
- You will perform professional medical services described under this agreement at the times outlined, but the assignment of specific times should in no way be construed to suggest that patient care or administrative responsibilities automatically end at the end of a shift. It is always your responsibility to ensure that patients are appropriately signed out to the next physician on duty and that the next physician/practitioners is ready to provide coverage.
- It is anticipated that your on-service time will be at CHOC Children’s Hospital Orange (CHOC).
