Job Description:

Onsite Opportunity with Pediatric Experience

  •  You’ll be providing services in New York to provide excellent care for migrant populations as part of a team with support from a team including health providers
  • This means you will provide care for adult and pediatric patients facing chronic and complex conditions (e.g., co-morbid medical and mental health diagnoses, limited personal resources, chronic medical conditions.)
  • You will gather history and physical exam and diagnostics as needed, and then develop and implement treatment plans given the patient’s goals of care and current conditions
  • This will include screening for chronic conditions, management of substance use disorders, provision of vaccinations, wound care and more
  • Administering Vaccines
  • Administer medication to patients and measure vital signs
  • Monitor the patient’s progress and changes in behavior
  • Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols
  • Prepare and submit all services delivered through our report system 
  • Be a team player, provide necessary assistance to ensure system sanitation, readiness, and adherence to quality assurance standards
  • Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses, and registrations
  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and or the public
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Must have previous primary care experience
  • New York State License as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum 2 year experience as a NP
  • Eligible for credentialing
  • Computer literacy or comfort and the ability to learn computer programs quickly to include Slack, Athena, Google Suite, etc.
  • Willing to show proof of COVID vaccination
  • Should be willing to get Hepatitis B Vaccines (series of 3 shots) OR Sign a declination form within 10 days of hire as this is an OSHA Regulation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish or Creole
  • Clinical work experience with pediatrics
  • Previous emergency medicine/urgent care experience
