Oncology Nurse Practitioner | OH
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed oncology team in Ohio. In this critical role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with various types of cancer, guiding them through treatment and recovery with empathy and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and symptom evaluations.
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and side effects, promoting informed decision-making.
- Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and central line placements as needed.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families, addressing emotional and practical challenges associated with cancer care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.
Qualifications:
- Active NP license in the state of Ohio
- 1 to 2 years of Oncology experience (preferred)
- Active DEA
