The only full-time ENT serving an area of 100-mile radius terminated practice unexpectedly. We are looking for an ENT to work two days (Wed/Thurs) every-other week on an on-going basis while we recruit a permanent, full-time replacement. Office practice and surgery at Ashley Regional Medical Center, a 39-bed community hospital in Vernal, UT, a rural community of about 13,000 located 3 hours east of Salt Lake City.
The other hospital in the region has interim, part-time ENT coverage lined up so we are not expecting an exceedingly large demand, but we need coverage to meet the needs of our primary service area.
We've had coverage here for about 18 years up until last fall when our local ENT terminated practice; our OR is equipped for standard ENT services and our staff is trained and experienced in standard ENT procedures done at a community hospital level.
The interim physician will work out of the same office space as the departed ENT, which is located on hospital campus.
