Outpatient Non-Invasive Cardiologist - Office Based, 2 Days/Month - Yonkers, NY

The Vascular Care, an established vascular surgery practice in Yonkers, NY, is seeking a general (non-invasive) cardiologist to see patients in our office. This is an outpatient clinic role only. No interventional, cath lab, or hospital call responsibilities, and interventional training is not required.

Schedule: Two office days per month, 8-hour sessions. Days and schedule are flexible and negotiable.

Patient volume: Approximately 20-25 patients per day.

Support staff: A medical assistant and a tech are provided for every session.

Scope of practice:

- New and follow-up outpatient cardiology consultations

- Ordering and interpreting in-office cardiac diagnostic testing, including echocardiograms, EKGs, Holter/event monitoring, and stress testing

- Management of hypertension, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and valvular disease

- Pre-operative cardiac risk assessment for vascular surgery patients

Vascular studies are handled by our vascular surgery team, so this role is focused on cardiology diagnostics.

Compensation and benefits (everything is negotiable):

- Competitive per-session compensation, paid as a 1099 independent contractor

- Malpractice insurance can be provided

Requirements:

- MD/DO, board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

- Active New York State medical license (or eligible)

- Active DEA registration
