Job description:

  • Assesses, plans, evaluates and implements patient care according to accepted standards of practice.
  • Documents delivery of patient care in the medical record.
  • Administers medications and treatments and observes patient responses.
  • Establishes and maintains positive interpersonal relationships with patients, their families and hospital staff.
  • Provides patient and family education regarding health practices and treatment modalities.
  • Provides direction and instruction to staff, interpreting the needs of each patient to all persons participating in the patient's care.
  • Maintains current knowledge of health care developments and therapeutic measures.
  • Attends department in-services and staff development programs.
  • Provides orientation and training to new staff, residents, medical and nursing students.
  • Initiates emergency nursing measures such and Code Blue and Code Red.
  • Provide vacation and temporary relief as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in Cardiac/Angio/Neuro/Vascular & Trauma cases
  • Experience working with ALL ages
  • One (1) year of experience as a licensed registered nurse.
  • Licensure requirements - CA state Registered Nurse License
  • ACLS and BLS
