Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift : Monday to Friday : 9a to 5p
Contract : 13 week Extendable
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PACU RN to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care across the peri-anesthesia continuum (Phase I & II). The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safe recovery and smooth transition to discharge, inpatient units, or ICU.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver immediate post-anesthesia and post-procedure care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor airway, vitals, surgical sites, drains, and IV lines
- Manage pain, medications, and emergency situations
- Support respiratory and circulatory stability
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Document care and evaluate discharge readiness
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Critical Care nursing experience
- Strong clinical, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in post-anesthesia or acute care settings
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Active New York State RN License
- BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
