Paris Surgical Specialists is seeking 24 hour Call Coverage locum ASAP

Requested Specialty: General Surgeon Projected Locum Start Date: June – 24 Call coverage needed 5-10 days per month. Placement Type: Locum Tenens or Permanent Assignment Type: Mix of Office visits, call coverage, and Surgery procedures (Perm only) – No office schedule for Locums Call Coverage. Client prefers drive in, TN licensed Providers for Locum Call Coverage. Census/Case Load: Avg 20-25 patients per day in clinic and average 800 surgical cases annually. EMR: Paper Charting in Clinic / McKesson-Allscripts in Hospital (Dragon Dictation available at Hospital) 8 OR Suites & 4 Procedure Rooms Requirements:  Must be able to obtain Hospital privileges for Henry County Hospital.  Must be board certified or truly board eligible in General Surgery  Preferred experience or interested in training in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery and endoscopic surgical techniques.  Must do scopes.  Prefers candidates with robotics experience but not required  Will accept new grads Office and Coverage Hours: Monday – Friday 8AM – 430PM plus call coverage Office Address: 235 Hospital Circle Paris, TN 38242 (located outside the entrance to HCMC) HCMC Address: 301 Tyson Avenue Paris TN 38242 Call Rotation: 1:3 (on average 10 call shifts per month) Credentialing timeframe: Temps available to start within 14 days of completing application Inpatient surgeries all take place at the HCMC Main Campus. Individuals having inpatient procedures will spend at least one night in the hospital where he or she will be monitored by the surgeon, nursing staff and HCMC hospitalist team. HCMC is one of the first medical centers in Tennessee outside of a metropolitan area to offer DaVinci Robot surgery services. Currently, the DaVinci Robot is being utilized by the General Surgeons. With HCMC commitment towards growth, HCMC expects to increase the number of DaVinci Robot surgery services. General Surgery Services include: Abdomen and its contents - diaphragm, biliary tract, liver, pancreas, spleen Alimentary tract - esophagus, stomach, small bowel, large bowel Breast, skin and soft tissue - benign and malignant problems of the breast, skin and soft tissues Head and neck surgery - including trauma, vascular, congenital and cancerous disorders Vascular surgery - arteries and veins, excluding the vessels in the brain, heart, and lungs Endocrine surgery - thyroid and parathyroid glands, the pancreas and adrenal glands Surgical oncology - including coordinated management of the cancer patient Comprehensive management of trauma - all phases of care Complete care of the critically ill patient - with underlying surgical condition About: When it comes to Health Care, we understand Caring is what matters.
